The BEST CRT Effect (After Effects Tutorial)

today I'm going to show you guys how to make this effect all right enough talking let's get to it but first if you guys want to support me feel free to check out my store I just dropped a new website and let's get right to it for this effect I used one of my CRT overlays so we can get this look but but I'll show you guys the differences right now within without I just dropped new overlays for that pack there's over 60 overlays now and let's get right to the video I'll show you guys how to do this insane effect all right so first what we're going to do is we're going to have to lower the quality of the footage so first what we're going to do is duplicate the clip contrl D and now we're going to pre-m it right click on the footage pre-m move all attributes and then name it anything but for this case I'm going to change it to chroma just to be more organized and we're going to double click into the comp and we're going to change the comp settings change the width to 40 and the height to 480 boom now we're going to scale it so so we're going to press s on the keyboard and we're going to go right here to to the bottom left click this little button the unchain on the right hand side we're going to click on the 100 and we're going to put it to 45 now on the left hand side we're going to change it to 2.8 now we're going to go back into the comp make sure you guys are organized because there's going to be a lot of different comps being added to your tab section change the comp names to like main comp or something all right next we're going to pre-m the bottom layer pre-m and we're going to name this Luma
