Last week we built a .NET 10 web API with EF Core by hand and it worked great. But I kept thinking, can we build the same thing faster today? And the answer is clearly yes with GitHub Copilot. And in this video now, I will show you how to do it while staying fully in charge of your code. And if you want to go even deeper with .NET web development with AI, I have a brand new course for you. You can find the link and a huge launch discount in the video description below. All right. Now, as you can see, I got Visual Studio 2026 here and we will use .NET 10 and I create the project first by myself because in my experience, we could try to continue without any code or with a blank solution, but it works better actually. Again, in my own experience, if you know what you want to do, and this is something I can always recommend, you should know your fundamentals before you use copilot. And regarding the fundamentals, I know I want to build a web API here in this example. So, let's just build the project and then we can use copilot to help us implement all the other stuff. So, aspet core web API with C, please. It is. We hit next and let's build a little video game library with co-pilot. Right. So let's name it like that. The name is great. And as you can see here now we want to use net 10 for this application. No authentication type. Yes, we can use controllers for the example implementations. I mean why not? But now let's just create this thing. And this is our default stuff, right? We have our controllers here, the weather forecast and so on. But let's already jump into C-Pilot. Real quick, if you ever wondered how to actually use AI like GitHub Copilot or CHPT in real .NET projects, I've just released a brand new course called .NET Web Development with AI and Copilot. In it, we built full blazer web apps together using Copilot, GPT, and Cloud Sonet as our coding partners. You will see how to use Copilot inside Visual Studio.
