[Music] [Laughter] [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Music] Hey, thank you. [Music] Fascists used to have style. Like we have gone from this to whatever the [ __ ] that is. traditional fascist aesthetic was obsessively crafted to create an hypnotic, powerful, and intimidating effect. Compared to then and now, the optics clearly changed a lot. What happened? A few important disclaimer before we take a deep dive into the visual world of fascism. First, just because it looks fascist doesn't mean it is fascist. Defining fascism itself can be very complicated. Second, just because you might like some of the same visual styles of fascist would like doesn't mean you're fascist, nor am I implicating our one. Third, and maybe the most important one, fascism does not equal fascism. Italian fascists were different than national socialists. Nazis were different than British fascists. British fascism was different than Japanese fascism. So I won't be able to get into every specialized form. But what I want to show you in this video is that despite their differences, there is a fundamental characteristic in every fascist ideology. The aestheticization of politics, meaning using visual methods like mestaging, parades, symbolism, myths, memes to manipulate emotions and to shape political obedience. So, let me show you how to emotionally manipulate entire nations with the power of optics. And I got a [Music] shave. To truly understand the new aesthetics of fascism, we first need to examine its traditional aesthetics. Only by doing so, we can recognize the parallels and especially the lost aura fascism once had. That's why this topic will be divided into two videos. The aesthetics of fascism and the new aesthetics of fascism. I'll upload both videos within a short time frame. It's just a monumental project for just one person with a full-time job. So, I simply need more time. Sorry. [Music] violence, speed, momentum.
