What's going on everyone? It's RGB here. So, in this video, I'm going to test the GTA 5 Extreme light version that I managed to reduce its size down to 6GB, which is currently the smallest version so far. This build is originally released by Opti Projects at about 9GB and it is further optimized to reduce the size mainly to focus on better performance, especially on low-end Android devices with limited RAM. Because of this, the overall visual quality is reduced to the lowest possible level. You can also see its content size to like 6.8GB. To achieve this, certain parts of the game data are removed, including some environment assets like coastal elements and other [music] objects. This is done using the open 4 editor tool, which is a multi-purpose editor for Rage Engine based games. Some of you may already be familiar with this tool. And with this tool, mods can be imported and various game files can be modified, but it's a bit complicated to use. [music] It allows changes to the entire game database and supports multiple formats used by Rage Engine games. I removed some parts of the map in certain areas, especially the countryside assets. Honestly, most people aren't really interested in visiting those areas. You can see these details here, the geometry and edge points of the models. You can even customize these or use mods to change locations. There are tracks and billboards beside the roads, and I removed all of these to reduce the game size. There are also some walls and pipelines that are present outside the main city along with broken structures like abandoned houses in the countryside. I'm not sure if this part is from the grape seed area, but these houses belong to the country 3 asset, which is basically the desert area. We've also seen these assets in other places. As you know, each x64 RPF file contains different environments. For example, H for highways and roads, G for greenery and vegetation. M for map assets, and D for downtown areas. I removed most of the countryside parts, industrial areas, sandy shores, desert regions, and countryside sea areas to reduce the overall size, [music] focusing mainly on the Los Santos city area because that's where most of us like to play. This is just a free roaming version. You can't do missions because the story content has already been removed.
