Feeder Fishing For Bream (On a RISING River!)

Now, I've set myself up for a right challenge today. Behind me is a flooded river great ooze. And I've come today with some feeder tactics to hopefully, fingers crossed, catch one or two proper fish on the feeder. Now, the river's in a bit of a mess. It's chocolate. It's a over a meter higher than normal level. In fact, it could burst its banks later today. It is on the rise. Super tough conditions, but hopefully we're going to brave the conditions and fingers crossed we catch an odd fish. Okay, so where are we exactly? Well, we're on the great ooze like I mentioned in the intro and I was inspired actually by a picture that I saw posted on the neat Facebook page. A match was won at the weekend with over 60 lb of bream great big slabs and I thought I' got to have a go at that. The river is up. It's well up. It's proper colored and it's actually still quite mild. It's 5° today. So the river isn't full of snow melt. It's not full of that horrible stuff that you get after a big frost. It's quite mild. Now, it has come up since the weekend, so it could be a total write off. Who knows? But unless you have a go at these things, how are we ever going to know? And I just fancied it. You may remember I came to this very stretch in the summer. Well, at the end of the summer, in the autumn, and I fish pole, and I caught a load of roach, hooked those big fish that I lost, and I just had a great session, and I promised myself to come back in the winter to hopefully try and catch a few better fish. Now, I've sat on a brilliant looking swim. There's a big slack to my right. There's a main push of the river like going from left to right and then I've got this lovely crease that's just coming off my rod end here and it passes off downstream.
