MSNOW's Jillian Frankel was at that pres conference in the Twin Cities and here in New York with us MSNOW contributor Paolo Ramos and also joining us MSNOW national security analyst former FBI special agent in charge Michael Feinberg. Jillian what more do we know about this drawdown and what else did we hear from Trump's border czar? Yeah and just to reiterate Tom Holman the borders are announced 700 federal agents will be drawn down from the Twin Cities as part of Operation Metro. Surge 2000 federal agents are set to remain. He explained the change by citing what he called an unprecedented level of cooperation between the federal government and state and local officials. He did call for additional cooperation specifically between county jails and ICE. And he also addressed what he called an inconsistency in the use of body cameras by those federal agents. I want you to hear. I want you to hear how he and secretary know him are addressing that. Take a listen. We identified a gap in regard to the use of body worn cameras. This is actually raised by the workforce when I started walking around talking to people here. Some officers and agents had him, some didn't. That inconsistency was unacceptable, so we moved immediately to prioritize full body camp deployment in the CITY, I DISCUSSED THIS WITH SECRETARY NOEM A COUPLE DAYS AGO AND SHE MADE THE DECISION TO DEPLOY THEM. THE PLAN IS TO DEPLOY THEM NATIONWIDE BUT IT'S PRIORITY. FOR THE CITY RIGHT NOW. ANA, INTERESTINGLY, HE SAID THEY'RE FOCUSED ON TARGETED ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS BUT THEN HE ALSO SAID, QUOTE, IF YOU ARE IN THE COUNTRY illegally, you are not off the table. Ana? Paula, you were just there in Minnesota talking to families directly impacted by this immigration crackdown. Your thoughts on this drawdown and the impact. The first thing I did was text some of the people that I met, and one of them, Carolina Artis, was part of the Immigrant Rights Coalition there. She said, the damage has already been done, and there's no going back. And this is someone that was also present during the aftermath of Renee Goodes' shooting, and she told me that one of the officers that was on that scene told her, do you want to die? And I'm going to say it out loud because this is what he said. Bitch. And I say that explicitly because I think that's what we're all pondering.
