Using These LUMIX LUTs Feels Like Cheating

I love editing photographs. It's a huge part of the joy of photography for me. But when Lumix released their lot library feature, I was pretty [Music] excited. Being able to design lots and load them directly into my camera to shoot JPEGs with is something I couldn't wait to test out for myself, and it hasn't disappointed. At the end of 2024, I designed my season lots. So, a set of four looks, spring, summer, autumn, and winter. And the response to those lots has been incredible. But now, I've designed three new looks to add to the collection. And I wanted to make this video to show them off to you. Presenting my new lots, the lake lots. So, Ontario, Coutura, and Nay. Feel like there should have been a drum roll in there or something. Presenting my new lots. I don't know. So, a couple of weeks ago, I headed to the most northernly part of Ireland called Malon Head just for the weekend with my family. And with me, I brought my Lumix S9 with the Sigma 45mm f/2.8 lens attached and my Lake LUTs loaded and ready to test. So, here's the first one. Ontario Ontario is inspired by the highly sought after look of Kodak film. The colors of this lot are gorgeous and really shine on days with blue skies, which are rare in Ireland. [Music] Luckily for us, the weather played ball and we got some of the most glorious weather I've ever seen in this [Music] country. This lot is quite teal and orange focused, but it still has an incredible color balance and saturation throughout. I shoot with a natural base photo style and add grain when shooting with this lot and every lot to increase the film like feel. That was Ontario and I think it's absolutely gorgeous. It's great for landscapes and portraits and pretty much anything really. The next lot is maybe a little bit more niche, but used in the right scenario, it can be really, really beautiful. Check it [Music] out. With this second look of the set, my aim was to design a lot that recreates the feeling of film photography from Japan. This is Coutura and with its emerald green shadows and magenta highlights, I think it really captures the tones of classic negative Fuji color [Music] [Music] film.
