Please enjoy. Our journey begins at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. Arrive at Terminal 1 of Jeddah Airport around 4:15 AM. The railway station is located within Terminal 1 of Airport. It's on the arrivals lobby level. We'll follow the signs for the Railway Station. Jeddah Airport has something amazing... a huge aquarium on the arrivals lobby level. It's called the KAIA Aquarium and is known as the world's largest airport aquarium. Admission to this aquarium is free. The railway station is located near the aquarium. The station is easy to find, so there's no need to worry about getting lost. This is the entrance to the railway station. The railway's official name is the Haramain High-Speed Rail (HHR). It operates between Mecca, Jeddah, and Medina. Today I'm taking the 8 AM train from Jeddah to Medina (Madinah). The train number is 08080. Tickets can be purchased at the counter or from the automatic ticket machines. Let's take a look at the automatic ticket machine. Follow the instructions and enter your departure city, destination, time, etc. Visa, Mastercard, and American Express credit cards are accepted. I purchased my ticket online in advance. The fare is 349.6 SAR (93.1 USD) for business class and 149.5 SAR (39.8 USD) for economy class. By the way, there are two classes: business class and economy class. Business class passengers can use the lounge. There is no first class; business class is the highest class. Let's go upstairs.
