A quick preview of the first subtitles so you know what the video covers.
Hello everybody. I just wanted to make a video real quick showing how I was able to solve my issue in Da Vinci Resolve in the Fairlight Studio um where it is not recording your microphone that you have patched to the audio track. So I'm assuming you already know this if you're watching this video, but I'll go ahead and go into it anyways. So, obviously before you want to start recording, you want to take whatever your microphone is that you want to uh have picked up in the track, you want to take that microphone and patch it over to the track that you want it. Um, but once you did that, you hit arm for record, and it didn't pick up anything. Um, you're not getting any uh wavelength here to show you that there's any sort of audio input when you hit record. um and finish your recording and go to play it back, you have no uh sound whatsoever coming through. So, this was an issue I was having. Um I've spent hours trying to figure this out and um it's very frustrating and I finally figured out what was causing my issue. Hopefully, this will help you as well. Um, but uh first off I want to say um if you haven't tried it yet uh if you go to Da Vinci Resolve, this solves a lot of people's issues. If you go to Da Vinci Resolve and go to preference, excuse [clears throat] me, um go to video and audio. Um right here you'll see input device. And usually you can drop this down, but I think uh maybe because it's my only microphone plugged in right now or I have it set through my settings to only pick this up. But either way, you would select your microphone um and then hit save and just make sure that it's picking up your microphone before you go any further. But um if you have Windows 11 uh and you have Da Vinci Resolve, this is um version 20 as you can see down here in the corner. Da Vinci Resolve 20. Um you could try this. So go to your settings and once you're here, you would go to your system, go to your sound, and then scroll down. And here you'll see your microphone. You'll see my condenser microphone here. Um, you can click on this and you'll go into the settings for the microphone. You can adjust your input. Try that as well.
