In today's video, I will finally finish our rolledover Nissan pickup truck that we purchased from the Insurance Auto auction, and I will take you through my step-by-step [music] process of what it takes to get this thing painted right here in my driveway with great results. [music] Just a quick recap. This truck was purchased damaged as a result of it being rolled over onto the side. All of the elements of the driver's side were damaged to some degree, some worse than others. For the most part, I was able to bend the front bumper back by hand, with the worst being the back door that had to be replaced. against the door. There should be no gap there at all, but there is a significant gap there. I mean, this door got it pretty good. Bedside also sustained a good amount of damage. But since you can't exactly unbolt the bedside and bolt a new one on, I much prefer just fixing these sort of things rather than drilling them out and welding new ones into place. And you know something, just out of curiosity, I figured, hey, you know what? I wonder how long does it actually take to uh get this bedside swapped out if you're doing it by the book. And by the book, I mean this is how a body shop would normally go about figuring out how many hours it should take to replace a bedside such as this one. So this way they can get paid accordingly for their labor. So I went ahead and used a VIN number from a random truck. This one's newer, 2013, but it's uh the same exact body style. We got four-door pickup with a uh 6inch bed. It's the same Nissan Frontier truck. So, uh this way the software is aware of what it is that we're working on. So, now if I go into a repair tab, I can go down here into the pickup bed. Select that. And once again, I got to confirm that it is a crew cab. 6 foot bed left side. Select that. And right here it shows us that it takes 12 hours of labor to get this bedside replaced. And down here it shows us the paint labor in hours. So to refinish the outside, we're looking at 2.4 hours.
