This video is for complete beginners to learn Fusion in DaVinci Resolve. Now, obviously there's a lot to learn about Fusion and we're not going to cover it all so in a just a few moments. So, this is going to cover the absolute basics. It So, first of all, we're going to create ourselves a very simple Fusion composition. So, at the very top left, click on effects. Click on effects on the left and you'll see Fusion composition. Let's just drag that, drop it somewhere on our timeline, about here. We're going to see a blank screen and this message saying no frame available for media out one. So, let's right click and go to open in Fusion page. And now we've got this one box here saying media out. The media out is basically the essential outlet that we need to pull our Fusion com- composition to be able to see anything on screen. So, it's essential that we have this. I'm just going to drag it over to the right here because we're going to use the area on the left to create ourselves a very first simple Fusion composition. Now, let's first of all start off with a rectangle and just do a simple rectangle. So, let's go over to the toolbar on the left-hand side here. Click where we have backgrounds. And it's going to add it all these three boxes on the screen. We're going to move the media media out to the right-hand side so we can see it more clearly. So, we have a backgrounds, we have a merge, and we have a media out. So, what we're going to do temporarily is just remove this merge by just deleting it here. And at the moment, we still have nothing on the screen. So, what I wanted you to do is click the rectangle on the right-hand side of backgrounds. Click and hold and drag it and pop it into the little arrow on the left of media out, like so. And as soon as you do that, you can see we have this black rectangle appearing on this right-hand panel here. Now, let's just zoom in for a moment onto this media out. Now, in true DaVinci Resolve style, they like to make things incredibly tiny. So, you need to have a bit of an eagle eye to be able to see it, but there's a tiny rectangle at the bottom of this media out. And we've got a white dot here. The white dot signifies the right-hand panel here, this sort of monitor. In fact, and we've got another black dot on the left-hand side.
