In the toolshed with John Butler (last visit to Bicker)

[Music] well here we are we're standing in my own barn looking at a few of my old tools I feel a bit ashamed of them Knox's 20 years since I've worked with them and I'm afraid they've been some gone rusty but when I had them they all Sean Sean like mirrors polished and not I'm holding in my hand great-grandfather spade which again has been used by other people and doesn't shine is it it used to do you know it was absolutely a religion that after anybody worked with the tool you you took a bunch of dried grass and you you cleaned it off cleaned off the mud and then when you got home you had a little tle pot of oil and Bo brush and you put oil on it that's how they were kept shiny if the tools are shiny they just slide into the soil like butter no problem takes all the effort out of work don't know why people don't clean their tools company we're not talk to her that was great granddad Fork two beautiful things good this the day it was made look how I swore when I worn down with the use that to was all shiny like a mirror it was a bigger stronger I would use preparing grant for potatoes hey folks of course what's called a pitchfork often working with sheaves this came from again you know an old family tool that's came from my great uncle I'll have to put you back on the hook once I do that just now you know that needs oiling before I put it away the work was done with with these sort of hose you can slide underneath the broad leaves of things excellency I'm a much bigger massive great tool but if you put that between between the rows of two rows of cabbages for example you can go up and down almost a walking pace
