Rush: 'Grace Under Pressure' Terry Brown 2026 Mix - How Good is it?

So, Grace Under Pressure has had a sonic makeover , the Terry Brown treatment. But . But just how good is it? Let's get into it . When Grace Under Pressure was originally released , there were howls of rage from hardened Rush fans . No doubt from the gloom of their mother's basement . I suspect they felt that the band were cocking a snoot at their Prague legacy and betraying their their core sound . Obviously much preferring the uh the tights and me attendant on such wonderful albums as Farewell to Kings . But in my opinion, and it is just my opinion , there was a maturing in terms of Rush uh from Permanent Waves onwards . Not necessarily a musical maturing , but certainly a lyrical and thematic one . And interestingly, Russia just announced the European leg of their current tour . And already uh in terms of the ticket prices , I'm beginning to anticipate how . How much is wow ? It's right in between uh between ouch and wow . I personally rank Grace Under Pressure as extremely high on that list of greatest rush albums . Although for many it's far too synthe . However, all that's possibly about to change as we have a new mix in this wonderful uh 40th anniversary box set that's due out in March . And the new mix of course is from long-term producer collab rush collaborator Terry Brown who of course was let go by the band I think after the signals album . They weren't too happy with the mix of that record . So he's back in that leather recliner doing all that knob twiddling . But what can we expect from this new mix of this album ? Well, wonder no more because I've had the pleasure of listening to an advanced copy
