I Changed My Mind About Consciousness.

I know that had your your mind change massively on anything . Oh, yeah, loads all the time . Like like something quite reality altering for you . Yeah, I think materialism is false . I used to think the universe was made out of inert stuff . Like atoms that sort of just sort of floated around and and bumped into each others other like marbles and I used to think that consciousness was somehow just if you just put them together in the right way , it just sort of springs up somehow . I now think that that is probably the most confused like philosophical view in the history of mankind . So, now what do you think ? Um I don't know. I just know that that's false . You know that it's false . What? That consciousness is an emergent property of Yeah, I just think that that doesn't even make sense . Wow . Consciousness can't emerge a physical material . I mean like physical if you If you think that atoms are just like essentially like marbles that the first problem is if you ask a scientist what an atom is , they actually can't tell you . Um cuz science doesn't tell that science doesn't explain anything . It just describes the world . It just makes predictions about the world , but it doesn't explain why anything is happening . It just describes how things move and how they behave . And even when , if you ask them what an atom is , they , they literally don't have the vocabulary to tell you . An atom is made up of what? A nucleus and electrons
