As you should because wearing shoes and doors is kind of nasty. Or are you maybe just a white person whose family gave up your culture, traditions, language, and connection to your land and ancestors to get a shot at fulfilling the American dream. And now you're trapped in a country that'll never fulfill that dream. So you try on being Chinese in the hopes that adopting the habits of a people who have a rich culture and guaranteed access to basic necessities will also give you what you yearn for and finally liberate you from your struggles. Or if you're not white, have you considered that maybe you just crave socialism? But let's be real. If you are white and living in the West, you're probably not becoming Chinese. You're just slowly waking up and realizing that life doesn't have to be like this and that things could be way better. You could live somewhere where buying a house doesn't seem like an impossibility and going to the doctor doesn't feel like psychological warfare that might bankrupt you and traumatize you.
