Starting your 2026 CFA Level 1 prep - first 14 days optimal study plan

Hi, everybody. Um, welcome to this video called starting your 2026 CFA Level 1 prep or preparation first 14 days study plan. So, this is in response to many questions I've been getting recently from people who are already signed up for the 2026, um, one of the 2026 CFA Level 1 exam sessions, um, and they're struggling to find a good place to start. Now, I'm going to say this right away. Don't follow the order of the curriculum. I don't think, well, you could and I'm sure some people will will be fine with that, but I don't think it's a good way to arrange your studies. That is start with the first volume, continue on to the second and to the third because you fail to utilize many of the linkages that are contained in the curriculum, which allow you to study in a much smarter way. Um, so, this is my idea of what your first 14 days of studies should look like. I mean, if you if I'm if you find this helpful, please let me know. Uh, please let me know in the comments. So, by all means, start by formatting your Texas Instruments BA II Plus Calculator. So many people do not do this and they only find that I only found out how to properly use my calculator at Level II, how to make necessary changes to it when somebody showed me. This will make your Level 1 life a lot easier. Now, I only use the Texas BA II Plus Calculator in my, um, in my, uh, videos. That's the only one I really specialize in, but that's the one I would go for if you haven't already bought your calculator. If you've got a Texas Instruments, well done. Uh but format it first. There is a video on this playlist, the next one, will show you how to do it. Once you've got your calculator formatted, this takes only a few minutes, right? Then start hitting and practicing time value of money problems. In the past, time value of money problems used to be a separate sort of um bunch of questions on the exam. That's no longer really the case, but you still need to master um time value of money issues, especially how to do them on the calculator, um so as to be able to progress with other areas of the uh curriculum. And there's a whole bunch of films, once again, included on this play playlist, so that you can find them quite easily, which are uh absolutely free to watch on the Let Me Explain YouTube channel, which is, I guess, where you're watching this video, so they shouldn't be difficult to find.
