Leica D-Lux 8 Menus

hi I'm Nick rigns from Leica camera Australia this is the Leica Deluxe 8 I'm going to go through all of the menu items and I'm going to show you what changes I would make so that the camera works for me the way I like it okay let's turn the camera on and get going okay one of the first things that you'll notice is that the shutter speed dial on the top here and the aperture dial on the lens here are both set to a I will almost always put the a perture ring onto 1.7 or whatever other aperture I choose rather than using a on both which puts the camera into program mode so that's the first thing I'll do okay let's go through the menus and I'm going to show you what the camera is set to out of the factory which is what you can see on the back here and then what changes I'm going to make all right so let's get going this is the basic quick menu the home screen if you want to call it that that 's what you see when you first press the menu button if you press the menu button second time you go to and then each time you continue to press the menu button you'll see that we step through each of the different menu screens so it's like a quick way of getting to a certain page in the screens obviously you can also use the down arrow and go off the bottom of the page or what I sometimes do is when I go to the first page is I go up and that takes me to the last menu item on the last page so it's it Scrolls through like in a loop so it's useful to know that so let's start with page one of the menus I'll come back to the home screen later and explain what that uh is showing you all right drive mode I generally shoot with the camera on single frame you can of course go into that menu and change to a whole bunch of different speeds of shooting you've got two frames per second 7 frames per second 11 frames per second
