A quick preview of the first subtitles so you know what the video covers.

today we're going to be looking at building a virtual host machine that can be used inside of machine simulation we're going to cover all the steps needed to get this virtual machine built from solid acquisition to solid prep solid alignment and finally we'll end up with adding collision checking to all of these bodies that we import once you've gone through this video you'll know enough about machine assembly for machine sim that you'll even be able to do those obscure machine assemblies [Music] [Music] so i'm building out this machine we're first going to head over to the haas's website haascnc.com now here they provide models for all of the machines that they build and today we're going to be building out a vf3 their models we can just scroll down and find the actual link to the vf3 machine and when we click on that link we're brought to the vf3 page we can see pricing and all that good stuff and then part way down there's a link to the 3d models of this machine so when you click on that you'll get a little download package which we'll save and with this machine as well we're going to add some extra components to it we're going to add a rotary device and again haas has 3d models of all their rotaries and trunnions as well so just click on the view models link and we are after the hrt210 again part way down there's a link to the 3d model when you click on that another download package will save so with that we've got our two packages now let's go and have a look and see what's actually inside of these download packages so here i am in file explorer here is the two downloaded zip files obviously first thing we need to do is extract them or unzip them and when we do we'll see that we're provided with two file types for each package so we'll get a step version and a parasol file opening the step vials i've not had great luck i tend to get some issues with stitching and solids which still works the majority of the comes in but you're going to see the auger off to the left there i'm missing some components so i have had better luck with the parasol files they are a smaller file anyways
