FREE Color Palette Tool for DaVinci Resolve | Better Color Grading Showreels

Hello everyone. I recently posted this color grading showreel featuring some of my before and after grades using these animated color palette transitions. I received quite a few messages asking how I created them. So, in this tutorial, I'm going to show you exactly how you can achieve the same transition effect inside DaVinci Resolve. And the good news is you won't need to purchase any additional tools or plugins to follow along. I use a simple tool that I customized specifically for this workflow and I'm happy to share it with you all completely free. You can download it using the link in the video description and just follow along. So, without further ado, let's jump into DaVinci Resolve and let me show you how I actually use it. All right. First, let me show you how you will be installing the the tool that you just downloaded. To do that, we need to switch to the Fusion page. You know, this is the edit page currently. So, I'll switch to the Fusion and then you'll just simply drag and drop the the file you just downloaded into the Fusion page. Just like this. And then it should immediately ask you if you want to install it. You'll just click on install and then you're done. You just installed the tool. Now, let's go back to the edit page. Here, first we'll bring the Rec. 709 or log image you have. You can either drop it here or just come over here and append at end. And then we'll bring the the you know, the graded version. Again, if we just bring it here, it's going to just drop it at the end of the the other clip, the last clip. So now we'll go to the effects panel and then search for Media B Uh by the way, just make sure you click on the toolbox here. The Media B color seed. Okay? And then you'll simply drag and drop it on top of the the the clip here. I usually start with the the graded version so I can easily set the the colors uh based on what I have in the frame, right? So if you come over here and play it, you'll see the the animation happening. So what we want to do is first uh find the colors that we want to target. All here you see the the configurations, the controls panel. Uh let's open this.
