i test my test so this is me again jesus paolo event and today we'll be discussing integration of rational functions by partial fractions so to start io mug scroll uh recall here that a function h is actually called a rational function if we could write that as something of the form f of x over g of x where f and g are polynomial functions so you making gold nitin is to actually integrate rational functions so without it you could consider here the integral of one over x squared plus five x plus six with respect to x so again recall that by completing the square you have here 1 over x squared plus 5x plus 6 set equal now to 1 over x plus 5 halves squared minus 1 half squared again to complete the square um we'll add here b squared over 4a so
