2026 AQA English Language Paper 1 Rap

Paper 1 question 1 is new. Four separate questions that you've got to work through. Shade the circles and boxes of statements [music] that are true, not just explicit to choose, but could be implicit, too. Question 2's language analysis is it's always been. trying to achieve. Explain the reason for their choices. That's the key, not not just language, but its effect as well. We want to see. [music] Question 3's structure based on the whole text. The change is now they give you a specific effect, like how a structure [music] used to create suspense. Think about the order of the text and the writer's intent. Another change is the third bullet point's new. [music] Think about about the mood, tone, perspective, too. Track how they evolve and change as you work through. Does the mood or tone shift as the viewer switch [music] view? In question 4, you evaluate critically. You could agree, have balance, or disagree. Analysis [music] of methods, that's the key. How a method proves your point as well. We want to see. In creative question 5, [music] there's a change here, too. Narrative's a story opening, that's good news for you. Descriptive's an option, but you can't always choose. So, for both types of writing, [music] you need to know what to do. Marks about AO6 should impact your decisions.
