this video is so important for me to make because it's never been more relevant than in 2025 color grading is known by everybody now so when I started color grading back in 2012 or whatever have you 2010 nobody knew what the hell it was nobody knew what the hell it was in 2020 okay so now it is one of those things that people understand the value of it and this is the easiest way to separate yourself from the rest because with the surge of Tik Tok and reals everybody is making videos so what separates you what makes you get the big bucks compared to everybody else color grading is in demand right now and the three main reasons why I would say you need to pay attention to this and you should actually pursue this path is if you want something that's in high demand so you don't have to compete against editors and videographers because anybody can pick up a camera and just go out there and start shooting and start practicing color grading is still considered very Niche which means that you are an specialist it's very interesting and it's like my wife wouldn't be thinking about that stuff my brothers wouldn't be thinking about that stuff when they're watching it but I am and that is the one thing that's going to give you the leg up over your competition like if you start tapping into that and still find a way to not deteriorate you or take you completely away from the story so like I since I went to school film school back in 2006 so I mean I just aged myself but I've been basically dealing with this sort of like I'm learning to dissect and then also enjoy for the last almost 20 years that I've just gotten to a point where I found a really good balance to very quickly analyze the entire frame ask those quick questions in my head and then get back into the story
