What do you make of all the Oscar buzz surrounding the film for your performance? I know not all that may come, but come what may, I will go to it laughing. Herman Melville, 1851. But Brendan Fraser, Variety, thank you. 2022. Well, Brendan, there's a lot of Oscar buzz surrounding the film. A video was shot of you during a 14-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival that went viral. Can you talk about that emotion and where it stems from? Oh gosh, it sure felt good. It's nice to be recognized. I might have smiled a bit too hard, it made my face leak. What can I say? It's the right actor for the right part at the right time. It took 10 years to cast this role, and I considered pretty much everyone on the planet for the role, and Sam's writing would attract many actors to play the role, so that wasn't the problem. It was just about getting that feeling inside of a reason to make the film, and putting Brendan in the film was a reason to make the movie. Ty Simpkins, you are a painful reminder that time continues on cuz you're grown up now and no longer that kid from Jurassic World that a lot of us know. How did it feel to take on this role and how difficult was it for you to play? You know, it was it was a great role for me to to kind of come back to the industry too. Uh I felt very connected to the character on a very personal level, and I really felt that it was a good opportunity for me to kind of let that shine and and kind of self-reflect a lot and and have that come out in a very, you know, healthy, beautiful way with filming this. And then also just on top of that Jurassic World was such a large film to to to make, you know, we had hundreds of extras on set every day and big CGI dinosaurs and you know, things that weren't really there. And you know, Darren did such a good job of of making such a small world feel so big with just all these characters. And also Sam's writing also like helped with that. And of course Brendan and Sadie's performances did that as well. But yeah, it was it was a very exciting film to be a part of. Awesome. Sadie, you've worked with two directing masters this year, Aronofsky and a Ms.
