BREAKING: US destroys 5 Iranian oil tankers after Tehran targets American warship: CENTCOM

Moments ago, Sentcom confirming it has destroyed five Iranian crude oil carriers today in the Gulf of Oman after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targeted a US warship with ballistic missiles twice over the last two days . A US official also telling Fox moments ago that Iran is firing on Jordan right now using cluster munitions . It's putting all eyes on oil prices rising, climbing as the fighting in the region over the past few days has escalated , closing today at more than $93 a barrel . That is the highest since the beginning of June . And we have diesel prices in the United States right now today at an all-time high . Joining us now to discuss, Fox News contributor Liz Peak . I point out the diesel portion of it. It 's $5.90 and a change because of the nature of how . Everything train, freight, sure, truck, farmers . You can take a look at diesel here . Put all of this together. I . I asked I just raised a question at the top of the show . Should President Trump ban exports of diesel ? Because we export about um we're a net exporter of diesel , but we we export I think more than a third of what we produce every day . I I think the problem with any of those trying to um manipulate the market is that these are global markets . Even products markets are pretty global markets . I mean, what's happening right now ? Yes, you have uh when they blow up a tanker full of oil , uh that is less oil that's out there . So, you have the uh increased conflict really having a problem . The attacks on Saudi refiners. . We're talking about refined products . It's also the attacks on Russian refiners . So, it isn't just a crude problem we have now . It's definitely a refined products problem . Also what's we cannot take we cannot take any more oil out of our strategic petroleum reserve . Maybe it you know in a in a short period of time they can continue to drain that
