So, today we're going to be doing some CAN bus decoding and sniffing all with the power of AI. I know, pretty crazy, right? But, I've been doing it for a few months now and it has blown me away. It is insane. And I don't think there's many people that are actually doing this. So, I thought, why not make a video and teach you guys how to do it. If you haven't done any CAN decoding or sniffing before, you will need an adapter. So, this is a CAN bus sniffer. Uh it is from Amazon. It was like 30 bucks. It's made by DSD Tech. It's a S H C 308. Now, I will put a link to this um so you guys can grab one if you want. It works with the savvy CAN with some modifications. I'll tell you in a minute. Uh and you can send frames, receive frames. You just can't log, but with the power of AI, well, you can create your own logger anyway. Only will you need the adapter, you obviously need a way to connect to your to your car through the OBD port. Now, I'm not going to go too much into this because um yeah, look, if you're if you're looking at decoding a car, you should already know that you're going to need to connect to it through OBD. Uh one thing I will tell you is you will need to make sure it's on CAN bus, not K lines. So, if you have an old adapter like I do, make sure you open it up and check that the pins are in the correct spot for CAN bus. So, anyway, yeah, like I said, we'll leave that for someone else or another video. If you do really want to know how to connect it, just let me know and I can make a video, but it is very basic cuz there's only three wires. You got ground, CAN low, and CAN high. So, the AI that we're going to be using today is Claude Code by Anthropic. Now, you can probably use whatever AI you want, but as far as I'm aware, Anthropic or Claude Code is the best one that is out there to date. So, if you're going to try this, I would recommend just sticking with that. So, that said, let's get connected to the laptop and we will start the tutorial. First, obviously, you want to connect OBD to the car.
