Hey, my name is Grace Bowers . I am a 19-year-old musician, singer-songwriter , and I'm from California, the Bay Area , but I moved to Nashville around four almost almost 5 years ago now . [music] [music] [music] Last time I did a interview with Guitar Center , it was 2 and 1/2 years ago at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Crossroads, I've done a lot practicing, practice every day , I've learned how to sing, which has been a big hurdle for me , but a necessary one um because I got super sick of just playing guitar for other people and being in a band. Um it . Um it was fun, and I'm super grateful for all those experiences , but like ultimately I knew that that's I don't want to do that for the rest of my life . Like I want to be my own artist, and to do that I had to learn how to sing . So, that's what I did, and uh still still a work in progress, obviously . I'm still learning, but just like getting on the stage and being the front person has honestly changed my life . I wish I had done it like 5 years earlier . So, yeah, that's that's definitely been my biggest accomplishment so far . [music] The past 2 years I've gotten like so lucky . I've been on I've been on TV a lot, um which is really cool and definitely a like whole different world from playing like festivals and shows and stuff because that's just it's a totally . But the the biggest audience I've ever played to was definitely at the Grammys . Uh I was 18 and literally 3 days before the show Jimmy Jam text me and was like , "I need an like this artist needs a guitar player." He didn't tell me it was Chris Martin and he also didn't tell me it was for the Grammys . So yeah, that was that was I literally learned the song the day before . So that was like it was it was definitely a challenge cuz it wasn't a very easy song either . It was at Crypto Arena . I've never played I've never played something like that before . So I was pretty nervous but the whole team there and especially Chris made it like the most enjoyable and easy experience ever . And uh obviously like just such such an honor to share a stage with him
