Bambu Lab P2S Unboxing and Setup

A quick preview of the first subtitles so you know what the video covers.
Today I'm going to be opening up this brand new Bamboo Lab P2S. And after it's assembled, we'll run through all the setup screens. I purchased the normal P2S, so the non-combo variant because I didn't need another colorchanging AMS. I already have one on my Bamboo Lab A1, but knowing me, I'll probably get one anyway further down the line once the adapters become available. Because you can't just buy an AMS2 and attach it to your P2S. There's a special adapter, a buffer that needs purchasing, which is only just becoming available now on Bamboo Lab's website. So, it comes out with a quick start guide, which we won't be needing today. There's actually very little pages in the quick start guide. It just links you to their YouTube video. There's some PTFE tubing here if like me, you're not using the AMS, and you're going to have an external roll of filament. I would just like to say that Bamboo Labs packaging is actually really cool and how it has their name written everywhere. They do send them really well packaged. I've rarely seen cases where the glass has been broken and people have had to return them. They give you a nice little notice on top here to grab hold of these two handles if you like and then give the thing a yank and it'll all come out in one piece. Apple's next iPhone should be taking notes. Now, they make all this look so simple on the Bamboo Lab instructional video, but I couldn't get any of these plastic bag seams to open, so I had to attack it all with the scissors. Now, the reason I got this printer is because I'm trying to make short content and long content for YouTube, and my Bamboo Lab A1 is running pretty much 24 hours a day, and it's really starting to struggle. So, I thought that I'd treat myself for Christmas to this P2S model. It is the same bed size as the A1, but I should still be able to do some interesting single prints while my other printer is engaged. Now, this in the top here is the maintenance kit. If you've ever had a Bamboo Lamb before, you'll have seen this. It comes with grease, oil, and that's for maintaining those rails, those axes, screws inside. There's a guide on that also. And it comes with a few spare bits and Allen keys, and you'll need those in just a minute. But this next thing is just the external spool holder for like me when you don't have the AMS and you just have the one spool on the side of the printer. I will show you how all this clips together and attaches to the machine before we switch it on for calibration.
