we haven't even got this guitar in the mix at all we got another guitar that we don't want in the [Music] mix right try this play a [Music] second tragic my love fall out to see [Music] my okay let's talk about dog star um what's the songwriting process for this um different the first had you was I think it was kind of quite specific how we did it and Bernard would write come up with sort of basic four track demos and then send them to me and i ' I'd kind of i' I'd work on my parts and we did I think we did a lot kind of less stuff in in the rehearsal room didn't we really it was more kind of it was more prepared beforehand I mean we did have rehearsal room sessions didn't we we did some stuff at jumbo yeah yeah but it was much more sort of clearly defined everything before we actually got to rehearsal the songs were were much more cuz I think by that time we'd kind of like we were much more confident as writers and it was much more you know we were edging away from just being a live band into a band that was kind of comfortable in the studio so the whole the whole world of you know we felt much more comfortable as writers yeah were um any of the songs from a sort of stockpile or did you write them all new for for the new album I mean they'd been evolving over the yeah no from the previous year while we've been on tour and stuff since the last record uh or you know there was a couple of things that hanging around from the first record that never got finished I think but um yeah definitely but um still life was kind of like was was written towards the end of um the first album wasn't that there was the one plinky blony I used to call it is called whipsnade that's whipsnade okay yeah that one we had I remember having that like quote early on I remember playing that in rehearsal yeah yeah I really remember playing it at the same time as metal Mickey yeah in rehearsal but yeah there was things like there was other you know I would sometimes play things Jam things through a soundcheck with Simon just to see how this would work out or to just to hear it you know something I'd been working on on my own but you know it was a sound check you get 10 minutes and I remember you doing doing that with uh
