Howdy y'all. Welcome back to springboard off my last video where we looked at the vastly intricate architecture that was lost in Germany following the World Wars . Specifically in that video, we focused on Cologne, Germany . But today, I'd like to take a gander at another remarkable city in Germany which appears to have been built with the utmost attention to detail hundreds of years ago . In the case of Leipzig, Germany, which we will examine today through incredible photographs dated from 1875 through 1915 , we will see in that 40-year time period, one of the hubs of 19th century Germany, flourishing with fine architecture , which appears to have . I found this collection of images of Leipig which I believe will truly showcase the facets of the city's infrastructure and the architecture which simply reading through the current narrative wouldn't allow us to see . [music] The lavish, often symmetrical and harmonious designs are only accentuated by the ornamentation and larger than life entrances , the fortified pathways and the elevated rather tall levels to each of the buildings. These among other features make our modern construction seem somewhat obsolete in comparison . [music] I will do away today with reading too much into the current narrative as in this case I believe these photographs truly speak [music] for themselves . I have however gone through and translated the original German title for each image and I will provide you with the [music] date for each image as well. Take it all with a grain of salt. When looking at Leipzig Germany , many of the common anomalies arise within the photographs that we see in other major old world . One common aspect of the first photographs of these locations is often the focus on the monumental and gigantic statues which appeared to line the streets of nearly every major old world city strategically placed there like reminders of something lost.
