Would They Really LEAVE Islam? Here's Why I Don't Believe Them

I will leave Islam today, [music] right now, this second , the minute someone can find [music] me a contradiction in the Quran. I will leave Islam right now if someone can show me one contradiction in the Quran. I will leave Islam [music] if you can find any contradiction in the Quran or in the Islamic sources. These Muslims all claim the same thing. Show them one one contradiction in the Quran and they'll leave Islam. But I don't believe them. Here's why. Fundamental beliefs don't usually change that easily. They put up a fight, especially when we have the wrong mindset. In her book The Scout Mindset, Julia Galef contrasts two different ways of thinking. The first is is the scout mindset. A person with a scout mindset approaches the world like an explorer. Their goal is to under to understand reality as it actually is, even if it comes at a cost. If something doesn't match up with his map, the scout corrects his map. In other words, the scout wants to know what's true. However, most people don't have a scout mindset. Julia Galef contrasts the scout mindset with the soldier mindset. A person with a soldier mindset approaches evidence like a warrior going into battle. Their goal is to protect their beliefs at all costs.
