Simon Says subscribe and click on the Bell icon to receive [Music] notifications let me introduce you to today's excellent instructor Dave Cudo Dave has two master's degrees one in instructional Technologies and organizational psychology he's actually trained countless Learners face to face but also many others from his online courses in fact he's proba train millions of students and Learners worldwide from his online courses and and he's actually created a significant numbers for assignment as it including courses for various Adobe products including Photoshop in design illustrator and a large number of courses for Microsoft including a recent new set of courses we've released on stream skill and sment say it for various Office 365 courses and many more coming later this year in addition to that Dave likes to travel and has traveled to nearly 50 countries on that Dave I'm gonna pass it over to you well thank you Simon and thank you everybody for joining us very very excited to Usher you into this wonderful world of data analysis and particularly working with pivot tables and data modeling we actually have a number of different exercise files available for you that you can use either while we're going through the class or certainly afterwards to practice all right so if you're ready to go let's go one of the first things we're going to talk about is Pivot tables I want to I want to kind of just first Define what a pivot table is and sort of what the value of a pivot table is a pivot table is an interactive table and really what allows you to do is to summarize large large bits of data and really kind of take it and kind of tell stories around it really to be able to do some analysis around what's otherwise kind of like flat and two-dimensional but be able to kind of cross reference and see those relationships ultimately once it becomes a pivot table you can organize and group you can actually start sort of see these Trends
