7 HIDDEN [Time-Saving] AI Tools in DaVinci Resolve 21

A few weeks ago someone asked me, "Where can I find the new AI motion deblur effect in DaVinci Resolve 21?" Because it's not here in the effects in the color page, it's not in the fusion page, and also nowhere to be found in the effects in the edit page . So, where the heck is it? Well, it 's kind of hidden, and so are a lot of other AI tools and effects, by the way . So, let me show you where to find these hidden AI tools and effects in DaVinci Resolve 21 . Here we go . [music] And let's start with that motion deblur effect, which does exactly what the name says . It fixes [music] motion blur. No . Now, of course, there are limits, right ? It's not magic, even though their name is Blackmagic Design, but black magic does not exist, right ? [music] Right? Okay, anyway, where can you find it ? So, instead of looking in the effects tabs everywhere, what you have to do is right click on one or more clips in the media pool, and then go to [music] AI tools here you have a bunch of tools, some of which are super useful . Now, when you use these , Resolve will ask you to download the actual AI model for that tool . So, everything will run locally on your computer , but be aware, some of them are quite hefty when it comes to the size . [music] Okay, and then once installed, go again to the AI tools and click on remove motion blur . Now, the big difference with other effects and tools is that this one will render a new clip with the motion [music] deblur applied , but even though it's rendering a new clip , that doesn't mean it's faster . It's very, very, very resource intensive . Blackmagic Design themselves say that it could take up to 1 minute per second of video clip to analyze . So, if you have a long video clip with just a few seconds of motion blur that you want gone , for heaven's sake make in and out points , [music] and then check this here , and then it will only deblur from the in to [music] the out point .
