How to develop elite power for combat sports , whether that's suplexing them sky high in the air or flatlining them . One of the main things that we need to realize when we talk about developing power and being maximally powerful is it goes against the typical dogma or philosophy that I see online . You have guys doing these, you know, old school barbell push things and really it just comes down to physiology and understanding training adaptations . It's not some hyper complex or specific exercise selection thing that this thing or that thing is going to make you powerful . And often times it also might be something that you look at and you go, "How is that going to make me faster?" Well, it all boils down to something called the force velocity curve . And while it's not that simple, it is in some sense it is that simple . There's three main things that I emphasize on training adaptations and one thing that I strongly emphasize on practice . And what I mean by that is things we do in the gym versus things we do in the training room . And you might say, "Well, Roman, I thought when we're talking about adaptations, we're talking about, you know, like you always talk about the things we do in the gym are the adaptations then we practice our sport." Well, that is true, but something that happens in the training room is coordination . And well, this still is in line with everything I've said in the past , being maximally powerful also comes from efficiency and being really technically sound . And so, the person who has a large training or excuse me, a large power reserve, but their technique is insufficient to express that power, they will not be powerful in their sport . If you go to throw somebody with a suplex and you go to throw them and you, you know, have a curved spine, you don't bend your knees and you just try to like RDL them off the ground . You're not going to throw them very high . But, if
