I remember the officer called and looked up in a book if Venezuelans needed a visa to enter the country back then, right? We're talking about more than 10 years ago, and they told her no. The officer was smiling at me, the police officer. I was stunned because, of course, when I arrived in other countries, the police always had a look like, "What are you doing here? Where are you staying? Are you an immigrant?" etc., etc. No, I passed through, and then I was totally lost.
