Hello, welcome to the reading of the Gospel, a book that has been read, printed, and published more than any other writing in the history of human civilization. The Gospel, or "Gospel" in English, means good news, and it consists of written materials that four direct disciples of Jesus Christ of Nazareth wrote about the things their master said and did after he was crucified. In fact, the most authentic part of the documents concerning the person of Jesus Christ are these four Gospels, because the people who wrote them were his direct disciples—meaning they spent several years alongside him, heard his words, and lived with him. These four Gospels have some differences among them, but the clear part is that they talk about one person from the perspective of four different people. Later Christians did not consider any of these books superior to another and kept all four as documents. Furthermore, over the following decades and even centuries, Christianity added other documents from great figures, such as the letters Paul wrote to Christians in various cities, because they played a very important role in spreading Christian thought in the early days. These were also added, forming what is called the New Testament, meaning the new covenant God made with humanity.
