First up is radiation resistance, which Ghouls are known for. Ghouls have radiation resistance in the process of their mutation, and they no longer accept its harmful properties. It's only natural since they've been mutated by massive amounts of radiation, but this is only for the Ghouls who survived it. But just because they're resistant doesn't mean they can do whatever they want, or they'll regret it later. I'll talk about this in Chapter 4. This radiation resistance was also used as a defense for Ghouls. In the early days after the war, when the name Ghoul wasn't even known, they were treated as monsters and lost their place. They used this radiation resistance to hide in contaminated areas that no one could approach, escaping discrimination. Also, an interesting example of using this radiation resistance is Quincy Quarry. Quincy Quarry has a large number of radioactive barrels rolling in from nearby trailers, making the entire area a contaminated zone. But there is a leader composed entirely of Ghouls who use it as a base. This posture is not only used to escape discrimination, but also to gain a favorable environment.
