The President of the Republic of Korea commuted to Cheong Wa Dae after 1,330 days. The Phoenix flag, symbolizing the President, was also raised. President Lee Jae-myung first visited the underground bunker at Cheong Wa Dae. It is the control tower for national security and disaster response. This is reporter Choi Kyu. As the vehicle carrying President Lee Jae-myung arrived in front of the main gate of Cheong Wa Dae, supporters cheered. President Lee, who got off at the main building covered in blue tiles, shook hands in turn with National Security Advisor Kim Young-beom and Policy Chief. This was his first official commute to Cheong Wa Dae after moving the presidential office from Yongsan. It has been 1,330 days since the President last came to Cheong Wa Dae, following the retirement of former President Moon Jae-in. For his first schedule, the President received a briefing on major work plans from his aides in the Jinmu Office on the second floor of the main building. Next, he visited the National Security Office's underground bunker, known as the crisis management center. This is a key facility that constantly monitors and responds to national crisis situations and hosts meetings like the National Security and Safety Council, which has been newly reorganized. This is interpreted as a will to strengthen the national crisis response system, including disaster security, immediately upon returning to Cheong Wa Dae. As the commander-in-chief and as the president responsible for the safety and lives of the people, you can see this move as him checking how the system is maintained and how well it is organized. President Lee later made a surprise visit to the Chunchugwan press room, the media's workspace at Cheong Wa Dae, to greet reporters. Earlier, the Phoenix flag, symbolizing the Presidential Office, was lowered from Yongsan at midnight and then raised again at Cheong Wa Dae. The official name and emblem of the Presidential Office have also all been changed back to Cheong Wa Dae. This is Choi Kyu-jin of JTBC. Thank you for watching JTBC News. We will see you at the 6:30 PM Newsroom.
