A Promise of Light | Sri Daya Mata

I wish to explain something to you. For over sixty years, I have carried a small amulet with me. It is a small photo of Gurudeva and a lock of his hair that I have carried with me all over the world. I have never spoken without first reverencing my guru, because by myself, I am nothing. He is everything. So, I come to you in that thought of God and our beloved Gurú. Let us be seated. How beautiful it is to see so many of you again! Before we begin, I wanted to pay special tribute to all of you who have collaborated throughout the year in the temples, in the centers and groups, not only through your material support, your material backing, but also for the great spiritual support, the moral support, that you give to the Master's work. We appreciate every thought you send; we appreciate all the loving wishes you express; we appreciate your love; and we reciprocate in the same way. Someone asked me, "How can we manage with the current world as it is?" I pray very deeply about that. It reminded me of that divine experience I had in India in Babaji's cave thirty years ago, in 1963. I had a superconscious experience in which I saw that the world was going to face a very difficult time, a time of great turmoil, unrest, and confusion. I remember that in that small inn where we spent the night before going to Babaji's cave, I cried out, and my companions asked me what the problem was. I didn't want to talk about it, but I knew it had a deep meaning, not necessarily for Daya Ma, but for the world. It was a great dark cloud covering the universe. I was horrified to see the darkness of that cloud, but the very next instant, I saw the grand, divine, loving, and joyful light of God pushing back those waves of clouds.
