Hey channel folks, how are you? In today's video, I'll show you a top maintenance I do on the car about every 10 months: cleaning the throttle body and the crankcase breather vacuum port. It's a very neglected maintenance. Watch this video, do it on your car, and you won't regret it. So like, share, and follow along. I like to do this maintenance roughly every 10 months because, based on the roads I drive, how I drive, and the mileage I cover, I notice it's neither too dirty nor perfectly clean. It's a point in mileage where cleaning the car at 10 months is optimal because cleaning the throttle body when it's very dirty is a more critical cleaning. Since it's not very dirty, but before cleaning the TBI, I'll first clean the vacuum port. Why the vacuum port first, folks? We need to clean it with the car off. Very important information: clean the vacuum port with the car off. Why am I emphasizing this so much, folks? Because I've had reports from subscribers who I taught this maintenance to, and even though I said, "Folks, turn off the engine, don't do this cleaning with the engine running," unfortunately, the person did it with the engine running. We use a needle to clean, and if the engine is running and it unclogs, it creates a vacuum and sucks the needle in, forcing the person to disassemble the entire manifold.
